The Christmas Wreaths of Colonial Williamsburg

Our family spent last Christmas at Colonial Williamsburg, where whimsical and classical wreaths adorned each of the historical buildings. At times, the theme of each wreath spoke to what laid behind the doors – a wigmaker, a baker, a musical hall. Other times, the wreath took inspiration from the historical paint color of the wood behind it.

When creating a wreath, consider using non-traditional, found elements of nature, or abandoning the idea of a perfect circle. Let it reflect YOUR mood, style or natural environment. It’s bound to be beautiful!
