A Visit to the SummerHome Garden

The Photography Committee and members of Garden History & Design Committee met at the SummerHome Garden for an early morning photoshoot. The garden is a quiet pocket park in the heart of the Washington Park neighborhood. What began as an idea in 2019 has grown into an inspirational, blissful and educational garden that attracts visitors from all over the world. Lisa Negri purchased the lot next door to her home and demolished the house with the intent of building a sustainable garden for all to enjoy. With the help from volunteers and Kevin Williams from Denver Botanic Gardens, they have planted more than 8,000 plants and bulbs that are water responsible and thrive in our arid climate.  The garden is only irrigated five times per year!
